A: When financing a vehicle at Baker Chevrolet Ithaca, you have two options. The first option is we secure financing for you through GM financial or one of our local banks or credit unions. With this option, we do all the work to find you the best finance option for your vehicle. The second option is a cash option. For the cash option, you secure financing on your own with your bank and bring a check from your bank to your vehicles closing.

Q: Can I get pre-approved for financing before visiting the dealership?

A: Yes, you can get pre-approved by filling our finance application or contacting your bank directly.

Q: What documents do I need to bring with me when applying for financing?

A: In most cases, you need to bring driver licenses, proof of employment, proof of income and insurance. If you are trading in your vehicle you may need your title and loan information on that vehicle. 

Q: How much of a down payment is required when financing a vehicle?

A: Down payment requirements vary based on the offer or financing option you select. Please see our finance department for specific downpayment requirements.

A: In most cases, if you have all your documentation, we can get you financed within a few hours. If you get pre-approved, the financing process will be cut in half.
